For all the WordPress lovers and enthusiasts in Thailand, there’s going to be organized an event WordCamp Bangkok which will be held on February 18, 2017, at CP Tower, Silom, Bangkok. In Thailand, WordCamp was held in 2008 and 2009 previously. So this is the third WordPress occasion happening after 7 years.
The organizers are incorporating an English Track for the very first time at this event where the Thai and English tracks will run alongside. WordPress topics for users of all levels will also be included.
There is a total of 300 tickets among which 208 are remaining and the invitations for speakers and sponsors are open. However, the higher level sponsorships are sold out as of now. Submissions for speaker will be accepted from January 5, 2017.
The organizers put the new Thailand Wapuu on display on December 18 which features traditional Thai garb and a banana stalk. The reason behind using the garb and a banana stalk in the Wapuu is because they are an important aspect of Thai life and is considered a lucky mascot for the event.
WordCamp Bangkok 2017’s motive is to bring together developers, designers, business owners, tutors from Thailand and also from all across Asia in the same stage to exchange views and knowledge regarding WordPress. The event has limited its attendees not to be more than 300 so if you want to participate, grab your ticket as soon as possible.
